How to enable/disable lock screen prompts and VoIP call notifications in Windows 10

Lock screen is the screen you see when you lock your PC (or when the PC automatically locks after a period of inactivity). The lock screen will also show up on startup and when you log out and don’t use it for a minute. You will need to remove the lock screen to be able to see the login screen and log into Windows. The user can remove the lock screen by touching the trackpad, using the keyboard or mouse.

Your account lock screen will show Cortana prompts and incoming VoIP call notifications by default. This guide will show you how to enable or disable showing reminders and incoming VoIP call notifications on the lock screen in Windows 10.

Note : You’ll need to enable the option Get notifications from apps and other SENDERS (receiving notifications from apps and those who send others) in order to enable the option Show reminders and incoming VoIP calls on the lock screen (display reminders and incoming VoIP call on lock screen) below.

Enable or disable the option to show VoIP call reminders and notifications on the lock screen in Settings

1. Open Settings and click the System icon .

2. Click Notifications & actions on the left side.

3. In the Notifications on the right, enable (default) or turn off Show reminders and incoming VoIP calls on the lock screen , whichever you want.

Note : The Show reminders and incoming VoIP calls on the lock screen setting will be grayed out if you turn off the Get notifications from apps and other senders option .

4. When done, you can close Settings if you want.
